References Only

The References Only view is particularly useful if you intend to paste your final, corrected references into a text editor. This view displays your references without hyperlinked PMIDs or DOIs and does not include Edifix comments.

Note: APA 6th ed. requires that authors include DOIs whenever possible. Edifixed references will retain DOIs in this view if the APA6 style was selected.

References + Links/Comments

The References + Links/Comments view displays your references and the hyperlinked PMIDs and DOIs that Edifix inserted (if PubMed and/or Crossref Linking and Correction was enabled). This view also displays warnings or comments from Edifix, highlighted in yellow.

This view is particularly useful for reviewing changes made during PubMed and/or Crossref Linking and Data Correction. In addition to reviewing any comments and warnings, you can check the accuracy of a reference in the PubMed and Crossref databases by clicking on the PMID or DOI link.

The comments and warnings inserted by Edifix provide information for author follow-up and further verification of reference content. Paste the content of this view into a Word document or email composer for easy author queries.

Show Changes

Use the Show Changes view to carefully review the changes automatically made by Edifix. This view displays your references as well as any changes that Edifix made to the content. Deletions appear in red strikethrough text, and additions appear in green underlined text. This view also displays warnings or comments from Edifix, highlighted in yellow.
