Several eXtyles users have reported a problem where eXtyles can sometimes run Advanced Processing successfully, but if any process adds Word comments, then the process hangs without returning the pop-up dialog box reporting on those comments.

This problem was caused by an Office update that rolled out starting in December 2025. Some eXtyles users were able to resolve the problem with the following solutions by rolling back to a previous version of Office and re-installing eXtyles, but if you are experiencing this problem and running eXtyles build number 5370 or lower, please contact eXtyles support so we can get you a new eXtyles installer.
